Our mission is to ensure the Town protects Open Space through acquisition, following and strengthening its own Code and its Comprehensive Plan and incorporating Greenspace initiatives in Webster's new Comprehensive Plan update
Why the 2026 Election matters in Webster
Last year, greenspace was a driving issue in our local election, and this year is no different.
The Town Supervisor has the power to ensure (or not) that the right people are on the Planning and Zoning Boards. The Town Supervisor also has the power to vote for, or against, inappropriate development.
The Town Supervisor will also play a pivotal role in whether or not the current "Smart Growth" Comprehensive Plan remains as it is, or is amended to block overdevelopment and reflect the actual priorities of Webster residents.
All of these issues matter.
While at the time of writing the current supervisor has not yet agreed to an interview, an interview has been conducted with his challenger, Sean Hanna, and can be viewed below.

Early voting starts October 24th, with voting day on Tuesday, November 3rd.
On the local level, don't vote red or blue: vote green. Do your research, and as always-- DO IT FOR WEBSTER.

Who we are and what we do
The Webster Open Space Committee is an incorporated 501 (c)(3) comprised of a group of volunteer citizens who share a desire to see Webster’s natural beauty remain intact for present and future generations.
While we have, in the past, worked with the Town and Friends of Webster Trails to identify properties of conservational interest and engage in landowner outreach, with the upcoming Comprehensive Plan Update underway, we are also now focusing on advocacy and informative outreach. We aim to ensure that Webster citizens are informed and thereby enabled to participate in local Government and Planning procedure, holding our Boards accountable to their responsibility to Webster residents.
